The basic principle of the rotary-die soft capsule manufacturing process is to feed two ribbons of the outer shell between two rotating cylindrical dies. A synchronized piston injects the filling, and the capsule is formed, sealed and cut through the pressure of the two dies.
The outer shell is heated to the appropriate temperature by the segment, and pressure and the heat seal form a completely bonded capsule. |
